Description

Amouage Lustre is a study in radiance: the way light catches and holds on a polished surface. Created by Julien Rasquinet and Paul Guerlain for Amouage's Essences collection and launched in 2024, it opens with effervescent cardamom and powdery orris before sandalwood, cedarwood, and patchouli settle it into a warm, resinous glow. Rich base notes of myrrh, benzoin, and vanilla close it out on an amber-lit, deeply traditional finish. At 30% pure perfume oil, aged six months with a double infusion over sandalwood chips and oakwood barrels, it's an Essence de Parfum (Extrait-strength) built around permanence.

Lustre reads as a resinous, ambery-woody composition: powdery cardamom and orris up top, a sandalwood-patchouli-cedarwood heart, and a dense myrrh-benzoin-labdanum-vanilla base rounded out by cypriol and tonka bean.
