Rouge Chaotique opened Byredo's Night Veils collection in 2023, perfumer Jérôme Epinette's oud gourmand built to feel like the mystery and heightened emotion of night. Saffron and blackcurrant flash over bergamot before plum, praline, and toasted oak arrive, and the extrait settles into a smoky base of real agarwood, papyrus, and patchouli. Byredo relaunched the entire Night Veils line in 2025, a decade after its first unveiling, and Rouge Chaotique remains its most talked-about scent.
