Description

Sunset Hour Dark Peach is the evening version of Goldfield & Banks' bestselling Sunset Hour, the same Broome sunset, an hour later and a good deal warmer. Released in 2026 and composed by Clément Marx, it pairs a peach-preserve accord with dark rum, mandarin and berries up top, runs through ginger, ylang-ylang and benzoin, and settles into amber, vanilla, tonka bean and soft woods. Where the original is bright and juicy, this one is sticky, boozy and resinous: an ambery fruity fragrance rather than a fruity floral.

How It Differs From Sunset Hour

  • Sunset Hour (2021) is the bright, golden fruity-floral: juicy, light and daytime-friendly.
  • Sunset Hour Dark Peach (2026) is darker and sweeter: preserved peach instead of fresh fruit, rum and benzoin instead of airy florals, and a vanilla-tonka base that carries into the evening.
  • Performance is the practical difference. The original is widely described as fleeting on skin; Dark Peach is reported to last considerably longer. If Sunset Hour faded too fast for you, this is the one to try.

Fragrance Pyramid

  • Top: Rum, Berries, Mandarin
  • Heart: Ginger, Ylang-Ylang, Benzoin
  • Base: Amber, Vanilla, Tonka Bean, Woody Notes

Note: the peach is built as an accord, a preserved-fruit effect woven through the rum and benzoin, rather than listed as a single note, which is why it does not appear on the pyramid despite being the first thing most people smell.

Performance

Longevity: Around 6–8 hours on skin, noticeably longer on clothing.
Sillage: Moderate to strong for the first couple of hours.
Projection: Arm's length after the opening settles.

An honest note: this is a new release and reviews are still coming in, so treat these figures as early consensus rather than settled fact. It is sweet, and on warm skin the rum-and-vanilla can read dense; one or two sprays is the right starting point.

Try Before You Commit

Gourmand-leaning fruit on a rum base is the kind of profile people either love immediately or find too sweet, so it is worth a wear before a full bottle. A 1mL decant is $4.99, hand-poured from a genuine retail bottle, enough for two or three full wears.

FAQ

Is Sunset Hour Dark Peach the same as Sunset Hour?
No. It is a 2026 flanker. The original is a bright fruity floral; Dark Peach is a warmer ambery fruity fragrance built on peach preserve, rum and benzoin.

Does it smell like peach?
Yes. A jammy, preserved peach rather than fresh fruit, wrapped in rum and vanilla.

Does it last longer than the original?
Early reviews say yes, by a clear margin: roughly 6–8 hours on skin versus a much shorter wear for the original.

Is it for men or women?
Unisex. The sweetness leans cozy rather than feminine, and it wears well on anyone who likes gourmand fruit.
