Indult Manakara EDP
Description
Manakara is rose served as dessert: two roses, lychee and berries, all folded into a creamy vanilla custard. Francis Kurkdjian composed it for the Paris house Indult in 2006, and it remains one of the most talked-about early works of the perfumer who later founded Maison Francis Kurkdjian. Indult lists Damask pink rose, Bulgarian red rose, lychee, coconut, candied berry, vanilla custard and musk. On skin the lychee and jammy rose arrive first, and the trail is creamy with a hint of burnt sugar. Reviewers love its lush, syrupy texture, although a few say they struggle to pick out the lychee and coconut on their own.
Scent Character
- Floral: 95%
Translation: almost entirely a rose fragrance. The lychee, berry and custard sweetness sits inside the rose rather than beside it, so it reads as a sweet floral rather than a gourmand.
