Description

Amber Malatya is a sun-ripe apricot amber that turns dark and leathery, with real Cambodian oud at its core. It takes its name from Malatya in Turkey, a region famous for its apricots, and was composed for the Paris house Loumari by Julien Rasquinet in 2025. Where many ambers lean on resin and wood from the start, this one opens on juicy apricot with coriander and saffron. Rose, Australian sandalwood and patchouli form a warm, rounded heart, and the base goes deep with labdanum, leather and Cambodian oud. Fruit, spice and dark wood, in that order.

Scent Character

Translation: oud leads by a wide margin, and it is real: Cambodian oud sits in the base with leather and labdanum. Saffron and coriander give the spice, and the apricot and rose account for the sweet and floral shares.
