Description

Ali Baba is a rum-soaked Neapolitan baba in perfume form: boozy citrus, warm pastry and clove over cedar and vanilla. It was composed by Antonio Gigli for Maiora Parfum, an Italian niche house founded in 2020, and released in 2023. The house retells the Ali Baba legend with Naples in place of the desert, and each stage of the scent follows a scene from it. Rum, candied orange and lemon zest open it bright and boozy. The heart is the baba itself, a soft cake note with clove and patchouli, and vanilla, amber, cedar and moss give it a warm, woody finish.

Scent Character

Translation: mostly woody, with a fresh citrus lift from the orange and lemon. The sweet and spicy shares are the baba and clove, and the ambery share is the amber and moss in the base, not oud.
