Description

Liquolece is a three-milk cake in extrait form: hazelnut, cocoa and a soft milky base with coffee underneath. Released in 2025 by Maiora Parfum, the Italian house whose fragrances are composed by Antonio Gigli, it takes its cue from trileçe, the milk-soaked caramel sponge cake that is a favorite across Turkey and the Balkans. Hazelnut, cocoa and tonka open it, licorice and sandalwood run through the middle with a thread of patchouli and lily of the valley, and the base is milk, coffee, benzoin, amber and musk. It is dense and creamy rather than sugary-bright, closer to a bakery counter at night than a candy store.

Scent Character

Translation: almost entirely sweet, which is what a milk-cake gourmand should be. The woody share is sandalwood, and the small amber share comes from patchouli and benzoin, not oud. The lily of the valley is a faint floral lift.
