Myths Man is Amouage's most unconventional masculine: a smoky, boozy amber that refuses to smell like anything else on the shelf. Created in 2016 by Daniel Visentin, Dorothée Piot, and Karine Vinchon Spehner for the Omani house, it opens on an unexpected pairing of chrysanthemum and orris (green, slightly bitter, almost medicinal) before a warm, boozy heart of rum, elemi, and rose takes over. The drydown is where it earns its reputation: ash, leather, and labdanum settle into a dry, resinous base built from the rich raw materials Amouage is known for. It's a deliberately strange, deeply layered scent for someone who wants a signature rather than a crowd-pleaser.
