Tyger Tyger is a honeyed tuberose chypre with a dark leather-and-oud base: beautiful and a little dangerous. Released in 2020 by Francesca Bianchi, the independent perfumer who composes every fragrance in her line herself, it takes its name and mood from William Blake's poem The Tyger and its clash of beauty and terror. The house imagines the last traces of a refined civilization surviving in the dark. Narcotic white flowers, honey and peach jam open it, tuberose and heliotrope carry the heart, and patchouli, sandalwood, oakmoss, oud and leather give the base its animal edge. Reviewers describe a tuberose floral amber that feels half modern niche and half 1980s, and it performs like the extrait it is.

Scent Character

Translation: woods and flowers share the top of the chart almost evenly, and real oud makes up a fifth, which is why the drydown turns dark. The sweet share is honey and peach.
