Description

Ambre Chromatique is a spiced amber that stays bright: pink pepper and incense on top, a warm pool of benzoin and vanilla underneath. Released in 2022 by Maison Crivelli and composed by Quentin Bisch, it comes from the house's memory of a night spent searching for benzoin resin in a jungle full of colour, which is where the "chromatique" comes from. Davana gives the heart a fruity, liqueur-like tone and osmanthus adds a soft apricot-leather glow, while Givaudan's Akigala wood in the base gives it reach. Reviewers call it a robust spicy amber, as strong as the rest of the Crivelli line, but easier to spray than something like Oud Maracuja.

Scent Character

Translation: a sweet, resinous amber at the core, with osmanthus and davana giving it a floral, liqueur-like middle. The pink pepper and incense smoke sit at the edges rather than the centre.
